Did we mention that our palapas are at the water’s edge and they are a great place to see full moons rising? If that sounds like a plan so will our Full Moon Special for March 18th and 19th…it involves a future free night stay at The Bungalows.

View that special HERE

When it came to restoring the bungalows, staying true to it’s era when decorating was very important to us. Before buying the bungalows, Gene and I were antiques dealers which came in very handy. What we didn’t have, we found and with a lot of love and after a long journey, the bungalows are what you see today; a must stay for adults visiting Fulton Beach. We are super friendly, so if you want to join us under a palapa for drinks and great conversation, you don‘t have to twist our arms. On the other hand, our feelings won’t be hurt if you want to keep to yourselves.  Enjoy these pictures of Bungalow #8 ‘Butterflies & Dragonflies.’ When you are done, check out our free night special here.

Are you a Full Moon Aficionado?

Do you have a Full Moon Fetish, believing that it’s charm has magical powers, or do you just enjoy watching the big orange ball as it ascends the night sky and shines down on Aransas Bay?

If so, then you need to reserve a Bungalow on the weekend of March 18th & 19th to get your “Full Moon Fix”! There’s nothing prettier, more romantic or peaceful…and our palapas are the best unobstructed view in Fulton.

Guests who reserve a bungalow and mention the Full Moon Special will receive a gift certificate to return in August for a free night stay at the Bungalows. Some restrictions apply so you will need to call 361-790-9108 for details or email us info@fultonbeach.com

The best place to enjoy a full moon rising in Texas? Our front yard. No kidding. Back in 1997, Gene and I headed to Fulton Beach to watch the full moon rising over the water. It’s one of my favorite pastimes. While down here, we happened upon an old dilapidated and uninhabited vintage 1940’s style tourist court that ran along Prairie Rd down out to the water. Immediately I was enchanted and couldn’t get the property out of my mind. The following year, we came back down to Fulton Beach and drove over to see if the tourist court was still there. Not only was it still there but out in the front yard was a For Sale sign.  To make a long story short, 14 years later, visitors know the 1940’s tourist court today as ‘The Fulton Beach Bungalows.’ There’s more to the story, but Gene and I will save it for your next visit to the Bungalows and maybe over some oysters and a beer. For now, enjoy a short video a guest took of the moon out over the water at the Fulton Pier.

A neat video a guest took of the boats bringing in their oysters, taking them off the boat and getting them ready to sell to the restaurants.

How many oysters do you think fit in one oyster sack? This video was filmed right down the street from our Bungalows.
