The best place to enjoy a full moon rising in Texas? Our front yard. No kidding. Back in 1997, Gene and I headed to Fulton Beach to watch the full moon rising over the water. It’s one of my favorite pastimes. While down here, we happened upon an old dilapidated and uninhabited vintage 1940’s style tourist court that ran along Prairie Rd down out to the water. Immediately I was enchanted and couldn’t get the property out of my mind. The following year, we came back down to Fulton Beach and drove over to see if the tourist court was still there. Not only was it still there but out in the front yard was a For Sale sign.  To make a long story short, 14 years later, visitors know the 1940’s tourist court today as ‘The Fulton Beach Bungalows.’ There’s more to the story, but Gene and I will save it for your next visit to the Bungalows and maybe over some oysters and a beer. For now, enjoy a short video a guest took of the moon out over the water at the Fulton Pier.
